Would you really want a beautiful home overlooking an Interstate Hiway? Or was that a joke? It would be good to have one's home withing easy access to an interstate hiway....yet the view and the rumble of the traffic would be very low on my list of desired amenities.

A home with a view is a great idea...but I would pick a pastoral scene with livestock, or a park-like setting with many trees, or a place where you could see water, such as a river, a lake, or the ocean.

We live in the country but our road is quite busy certain times of the day. There is the advantage of having a road that is well maintained (which our is) yet I would prefer to be on a 'side road' with less drive-by traffic. Yes, we can be 'in town' in just a short drive and that's good, but I wish for less traffic noise and more country 'solitude.'
